How to Curl Your Hair with Easy and Fast Homemade Hair Curlers

These homemade hair curlers or rag curlers are super easy and fast to make.  They work just as well as the foam curlers that you buy from the store.  It's easy to put these homemade curlers in before bedtime and wake up the next morning transformed with curly hair!  Every girls dream :)


Supplies Needed to make Homemade Curlers:

  • Scrap fabric - we used Fleece, but anything that doesn't fray will work
  • Scissors

Directions to make Homemade Curlers:

  • Cut the fabric into about 9 inch by 2 inch strips of fabric
  • Take a small section of hair (if its wet, you'll want to take a smaller section then if its dry), roll up the hair and tie the fabric strip around the hair


  • We make sure to not place any rollers on the side to make it easier to sleep with them in

The finished product (your hair will be more or less curly depending on how much hair you put on each curler, the less hair the curlier it will be):
