Here's a yummy craft kids any kid would love to do.  Make fun Saint Patrick's Day shapes, like this Hat and Clover, out of green marshmallow treats.

Ingredients Needed to make St Patrick's Day Marshmallow Treats:

  • 6 cups Rice Krispies (you can always try switching it up by using a different cereal)
  • 1 10 oz pack of regular Marshmallows or 4 cups miniature marshmallows
  • 3 tablespoons Butter
  • A few drops of Green food Coloring
  • Wax Paper
  • Large microwave-safe bowl
  • Mixing Spoon

Directions to make St Patrick's Day Marshmallow Treats:st-patricks-day-marshmallow-treats1

    • First melt the butter in the Microwave-safe Bowl in the microwave (you can use a pot on the stove, but it is hard to not burn the marshmallows when you melt them)
    • Next add the marshmallows to the bowl and melt in the microwave, stirring often to avoid burning
    • Next add in the green food coloring and mix until mostly incorporated in the melted Marshmallows
    • Add the Rice Krispies into the Marshmallow mixture and stir until Rice Krispies are completely covered
    • Now you are ready for shaping, place enough of the Rice Krispie Treats onto the wax paper to shape.  You can use a cookie cutter to press the mixture into or you can do it free hand

I, on…
